Samsung has joined the race to the next level of mobile communication with the introduction of its Samsung Epic 4G phone. Samsung Epic would be the second smartphone (after HTC Evo 4G) to be equipped with mobile WiMAX connectivity.

Samsung Epic 4G would be version of the Samsung’s latest hit, the Galaxy S. The specification of the two are very similar except for the slide-out QWERTY and WiMAX connectivity options on the Epic 4G. The specifications of Samsung Epic 4G are –

Samsung Epic 4G comes preinstalled with Samsung Social Hub and Media Hub. Samsung Social Hub integrates all the social networking, messages, contacts, e-mails and calender information in one view. The application supports two-way synchronization. Samsung Media Hub would provide collection of videos and ebooks powered by major entertainment and publications.

Samsung Epic 4G would be upgradeable to Android 2.2 Froyo. Pricing and availability of the device would be announced in the coming weeks.
